About Me
I was born and raised in Shingle Springs, California. When I was two years old, my sister was born with Cerebral Palsy. She is wheelchair bound and quadriplegic, but that never stopped us from doing all the things that "normal" kids did at our age. Our younger years involved many home made movies and silly, boxed camera images... Being able to freeze the memories we were creating played a large part in why I fell in love with photography at such a young age.
After High School, I attended California State University, Chico; where I graduated with my BA in Early Childhood Development. While attending college, I would frequently visit home and do photoshoots for family and friends as a small side gig. Once graduated, I moved back to my hometown and began working in childcare there for children aging 6 weeks - 13 years old for the next decade. Over the years, I created many relationships with students and their families who also became interested in having me do their family and child photography. That was when I built my photography business and created a full blown side hustle!
In December of 2020, God blessed my husband and I with our sweet (not so baby anymore) girl and in July of 2021, He provided us with our first home! Then, after many prayers, conversation and thought, God lead me to take a leap of faith in February of 2022 and pursue photography as a full time career!
There has been many situations in my life that has molded me into the photographer I am today. From working with my sister, young families and children, I have been able to learn and practice patience, flexibility and the beauty of "lifestyle" photography. Sometimes, the best photos don't involve posing - but consist of just beautiful, raw, moments captured on camera.
Let's make some memories together!
